Reflection on skill Practice

I used Mental Imagery, which is; shutting your eyes or looking at something and think about what YOU look like, doing your particular skill.
Before I did this, I never really thought about what looked liked doing this skill, now I'm trying to see what I look like, what I should be doing and what I should and shouldn't be doing. My effectiveness during this practice I believe was quite effective as I stayed on task very easy and when I did end up going out of my "daydream" I got out of that very quickly and thought to my self again what I can do better . I used this method of practice today because I hurt my back a little last night, and when I woke up this morning it was really sore. So I thought I would rest my back and also it would have been good to see how I look like doing the skill. Next time I think I may take a video of me doing my skill 3 times, and watch the video over and over again then watch a pro video and compare mine to theirs, then do the mental imagery started so I know already what I look like and what I need to do instead.

Statistics

Statistics meaning - The practice or science of collecting and analyzing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.

How am I currently using statistics in my sporting life?

In each West Coast hockey game, I  add up each game of how many shots I took at the goal to how many I got in I work out my percentage and my accuracy.

I have 5 hockey pieces of training a week so in one of our training we do back sticks and forehand hits and we take 10 shots at goal with both of them and work out if I'm better at backticks or forehand hits that day.

Describe how the participation in 10HM affected my Well-being

Different levels of participation affect us all differently. For an example, today, when we were doing our warm-up game and people, where cheating and not participating fairly. This affected our Mental and emotional well being by, wondering why they are doing it and getting really annoyed with them.

This also affected our social well being by, not wanting too team up with "cheaters" or even have a good friendship and trust them.

Term 1 Challange

So this Term we have done this thing called Challange Inquiry, we had 4 topics that we got to choose out of. Out of 4 I complete 2 and am still working hard on the other.
The first challenge I have done was try to get in contact with a sports star, or our idol. I tried my best to get in contact with the Vantage Black Sticks, I am a massive hockey fan and Play it my self. I have contacted them in many ways but haven't received a reply yet. But they are away in the Gold Coast at the moment for the Commonwealth Games, they have gone really well on that and are in the Final.

The second challenge it set my self-was thinking of a facility that Greymouth needs.  Our school pool is going to get taken down and replaced with something which they are not sure of yet. I decided to use this to my advantage and say put an indoor trampoline park there.

The Third challenge and the one I am still working on is, getting my back, to normal. The muscles in my back aren't growing as fast as my bones are and they are getting really right. So, I have to stretch alot to try to get them back to normal.

My place is my Nana and Grandads. I love going out there and going for motor bike rides on the beach with the crashing waves. The tides are coming in and you don’t have long to zoom back across the beach without getting the bike wet.

I have many story’s with my Nana and grandad. Going hunting with my grandad are some of the best times I have had, I remember when I went hunting out the 17 mile with my Grandad and my Grandad’s friend and we saw a deer, I lined up the shot and then, ‘POOF!’, rain started pouring from nowhere. My lens fogged up straight away, I wiped  it and the deer was gone. I missed that deer and I was soaked and my grandad dropped the keys on the way back, we ran back to the car and had to ran back get the keys and come back to the car.

I remember with my nana doing mosaicking I love watching my nana, mosaicking and I love helping her too.
A mosaic is a piece of art or image made from the assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It is often used in decorative art or as interior decoration. Most mosaics are made of small, flat, roughly square, pieces of stone or glass of different colors, known as tesserae. Nana and I, have made some great pieces.

Woah the word “christmas” at my Nana and Grandad  christmas is a full - out event. They decorate their house head to toe in christmas lights and lots of christmas things. They have came first many years in a row.  They have had many little walks and tracks for you to walk along at night and enjoy the night and the lights.

I have many many great memories at my Nana and Grandads and still many more to come.

English Learning Reflection

First term over, so far English has had its ups and downs. This term in English we have been learning about "The Hero Cycle", I personally haven't enjoyed the hero cycle. The hero cycle was boring in my perspective. I was hoping to write more stories and have different topics e.g narratives poems, in the woods or even get sentence starters.
